Philip S. Schoenfeld, M.D., F.A.C.S., Medical Director of the Washington Facial Cosmetic Surgery Center, received his medical degree from New York Medical College and was awarded the United States Army Health Professions Scholarship. Dr. Schoenfeld completed his training in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery in 1994 at the renowned Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident. Upon completion of his residency training Dr. Schoenfeld performed additional training with Dr. Donald Sarafin, the former Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Duke University . Dr. Schoenfeld then spent four years at Fort Bragg , North Carolina perfecting his craft where he was Chief of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery and served as a surgeon with the 82nd Airborne Corps. Dr. Schoenfeld is Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is active in local, state, and national medical societies, serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and at Georgetown University. He has lectured extensively on various topics of facial plastic surgery and has served as an instructor teaching surgical technique to other facial plastic surgeons. Dr. Schoenfeld has committed himself to the art and science of facial rejuvenative surgery. He has spent numerous years perfecting his techniques in facial plastic surgery so that his patients are able to achieve a natural unoperated appearance with each procedure performed. Patients are not treated in an assembly line fashion and one surgery does not fit all. Each patient who presents for consultation has differences, which need to be considered in formulating the appropriate surgical plan. Dr. Schoenfeld has the vision and experience to recognize these differences so that the desired changes in your appearance can be realized. Dr. Schoenfeld is married and has two children. He enjoys music, reading, and participating in all types of sporting activity. |
